Level Designer
Overview
This project focused on designing a compact indoor level that tells a story through space. The player starts in what appears to be a quiet, slightly eerie bookstore, only to uncover a hidden drug operation in the basement. I handled all aspects of the level, from blockout and layout to lighting, material placement, and visual storytelling.
I created contrast between the warm, wood-toned upper floors and the cold, sterile basement to reinforce the narrative shift. This project helped me better understand spatial storytelling and how tone and contrast can guide players, and convey narrative without relying on dialogue or text.
