Overview

This project combined my interest in Feudal Japan with a cinematic approach to environment design. I focused on capturing mood and atmosphere using color, fog, post-processing, and lighting to bring the scene to life. I handled everything from planning and sketching the environment to blocking out the space and building the full cinematic in Unreal Engine using the sequencer.

Alongside designing the environment, I animated and assembled the full cinematic sequence, focusing on composition and timing. One of the biggest challenges I faced was understanding environmental scale, and this project helped me learn how to create a space that feels balanced and readable.
